Delving into the depths of the mind through the body

Hanco / Hanspal
Hanco had been practicing yoga with DVD’s for 2 years when he met his first yoga teacher Cherryl Duncan in 2008. Under Cherryl’s guiding hand and inspiring tuition, Hanco embarked on a personal challenging transition to a healthier lifestyle. Fresh from Cherryl’s teachers training school, he studied Tibetan Heart Yoga with Amy Mead from Institute of Asian Studies, Arizona. Throughout the trainings, the concept kundalini became an enduring fascination.
Hanco’s journey took him to the UK in 2010 where he was able to practice a wide array of yoga styles with many highly talented teachers. As a yoga surfer, Hanco was experimenting with different styles with curiosity, delight and familiarity!
An unexpected bonus was being introduced to seasoned practitioners who shared their spiritual disciplines with him, and taught the art of meditation. It was a privilege and a highlight of the trip to be able to join a retreat led by the renowned Zen Buddhist teacher, Tich Nhat Han.
The quest for a deeper understanding of kundlini became more tangible back in South Africa in 2011. Hanco was introduced to the power and sacred science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan at a transformative White Tantric Yoga Day. It was there that he met Pritam Khalsa, who with her beloved husband, Har Bhajan, were subsequently to become his deeply respected mentors and teachers.
To all the teachers, mentors, guides, loyal students and dear friends who have supported him on his incredible journey, he offers heartfelt thanks and appreciation
